What is important.
I've got it... Granted, it's a constant process, and I'm working it out with each new day... But for now, I think I've got it.
And although we just made it to Berlin, and Berlin is fucking great, I really can't wait to come home.

I've been dreaming moving out all year, but I'm happy I waited until now. Living at home this past year made transitioning into a new school way less stressful and I also put some serious mother-daughter/father-daughter bonding under my belt. I got much closer with both of them.
I'm way giddy for next year though. Dani should be a sweet roommate. She's been Katie's besty since I was in kindergarten and has sort of become part of the family. We have similar tastes in most things and both make a lot of work so hopefully our house will be a creative enviornment . Plus she's transferring to Otis for Fine Arts and Illustration, so we will be buddies at school too.
Last semester I was able to handle all my classes way better then first semester. I ended up with a 3.3 GPA. I was nervous about grades all semester so I made sure to keep my shit together. I need to keep it up now that I'm in my major (Digital Media). My classes for fall are Contemporary Art Survey, Media in motion 1, Perspectives of New Technology, Concept development and Creativity, An English Seminar I haven't picked yet, Concepts and Issues in Media Arts, and Traditional 2D animation as an elective. They sound pretty interesting. Especially concept development and Creativity. The evolution of an idea fascinates me. An innovative idea is more important than visual perfection. I think.
Anyways, I'm excited.

i feel pretty stressed right now. i do not feel that i am making enough money at my work but i am afraid that if i go and look for another job that my job now wont put in too good of a word for me or whatever. maybe i will stay with my job now until i start school and then leave. because i need to make a really good impression until i leave so that my next job will really want to hire me. but i need to take a day off next week and choose a day to go to the DMV and get my ID and register to vote and take my driving test. i also need to make an appointment to to take driving classes so that my mom will get me a car. so i really need to decide what i am going to do with my shit. this is really important. i guess i am going to wait until the end of summer to leave this job unless another one comes my way. but i am not going to work in a restaurant. that is all i know. i cant handle doing that kind of bitch work. so i will let other people do it and i will do what i do best which is working in an office. i am also afraid to leave this job because what if i want to come back!
ALRIGHT
-go to DMV
-get my stuff from independent study for credits
-register at el camino
-get passport
damn i am stressed the fuck out right now. i really just want a raise and i know that i have fucked up with this job when i could have been doing much better. so it is time to kick my butt into gear and start taking care of buisness and PRIORITIZE. |

i saw the screening of this last night. pretty dope (hahaha) minus the forced acting, but it made me laugh nonetheless. i wanted to win the raffle for the soundtrack, but then i realized i pretty much have all the songs already (CAN I KICK IT?). we roamed to amoeba to hang out for a sec & i bought a beastie boys album for $7. its time to get ill! |
